No sweat, just putting it out here for another somewhat hypocritical poster here. I dont care really.
But I am always very very cautious when having conversations with asians in public. Losing face can get you killed.

If you wish to try your luck in the courts here go right ahead. I'm curious how someone could defame an anonymous person online, what reputation or damages could an anonymous person have. It is also a requirement to mitigate damages...and identifying yourself in any such lawsuit would significantly increase those damages. I suggest you speak with a lawyer if you wish to move forward with such a lawsuit.

Also, no one called you scum, it was stated that there are plenty of scum foreigners in the Philippines...if you decided to wear those shoes and lace them up, well, that's on you.

I also cannot recall anyone addressing any particular person 'scum' or anything remotely similar.

But it reminds me of the story (untrue no doubt) of the man being tried for calling a Duchess "a pig". He asked if it would be okay is he called a pig "Your Duchess" and was told that is not slanderous.

So he said "I apologise if I offended you, Your Duchess."

I think everyone got what you were implying, especially the " birds of a feather bit"
No, I just read one of your posts about defamation , and it amused me that the very one who so eloquently informs others of the dangers of defamation in Asia, would be so quick to defamate.
As for law suits, nah, I'd rather buy a condo and rent it out to sex tourists.

No ones going to actually say it, but it's there, and implied, and re emplied. But it's a tactic that's so tried and tested and easy to identify. It's not in the least bit harmful.

When I moved here almost 3 years ago from Cebu City with my then g/f... I read about how good Lord Bryon's Ribs were when they were located on the south road not far past Robinsons Mall. So eventually I took her there only to find it had closed....she was not impressed!

So a new relationship and nearly 2 years later I took Cel my g/f to Lord Bryon's Ribs at their new location in Hibbard Avenue as I still had tried their ribs yet. It was the first meal out together in 4 months (we had a baby sitter for Cel's son Matty) so very special.... got to their resturant ok or we thought it was Lord Byron's.... but it had the name Chicos displayed.

So after checking up and down the road abit I eventually asked in "Chicos" where Lord Byrons Ribs was? "Closed Sir it is now Chicos"

So another place bites the dust and I still haven't tried their ribs! Hope they reopen after Covid19 is over....if it ever ends... groan.

We didn't fancy Chichos menu although I'm sure it will please many. So we ended up in Hayahay and had a smashing seafood lunch so the day was saved.

    I don't know.
    Hi Mike,
I would highly recommend you taking Cel and Matty to the Dauin dive cafe on a Tuesday for their barbecue ribs. They are the best I have tasted and you can eat as much as you want.
