I think its the matter of convienence. There are much more stores and places to get things done in Dumaguete, eat-out options, grocery locations, etc. I lived in Dumaguete for around 3 years and found that I rarely left with the exception of vacationing or touring other islands. I now live in Bais for the past 2 years and although it is much less crowded and relaxing, my wife and I find ourselves making a weekly trip (sometimes more, especially if medical is needed or dentistry work) - into Dumaguete for grocery shopping, appliance, clothes, or whatever else may be needed that we can't find available here in Bais.

I have only myself to blame I s'pose. I was told people didn't swim in the Lake. So I took them at their word. Also I am without a car and had been in Baguio where there is a cab every 6-feet and the terrible air as proof. No cabs in Tag. Uh, OK. There are Jeepneys and Trikes up the wazoo. I'm 6'3" and 245. That isn't going to work. So I got all excited when I got a good price for a long term rental. It was 15-minutes from Robinsons and the guy went to 20K-P from 25K-P. I saw the brochure and there is this beautiful pool. So, this is a long tedious story and I'm only hitting the lowlights, I get up my 1st morning and head to the pool. No water. The developers drained the pool when the owners balked at paying 250P per swim for upkeep. I told my landlord in London I'm out of here when the rent comes due 11/3. So, I'm with my GF and all we did was go for walks and take a "rent-a-car" (their version of a taxi I guess at 200-P an hour) to Ayala Mall. Just wasn't feeling it here. Can't wait to see Dumaguete. I'm old but this place is like God's waiting room. Shopping or bust. Hope to say hello in Dumaguete, Take care.

I'm from Missouri and there is a site called Missouri case net where you can find court records and the like. There is someone listed as Peter Vandever on the site from Saint Joseph, Missouri. I don't know if he is the same person listed but we call people from Saint Joseph "River rats" because they are located on the banks of the Missouri river.
He reminds me of Howard Stern and just wants to be a shock vlogger. I watched a couple of his videos and said no thank you. To hard removing the diamonds embedded in the bullshit.- Agree x 1

Obviously peter Vandever spends most of his time alone and drunk talking to himself.
