Nah i dont think so. I think Dave is strong, very opinionated and not innocent at all. We will be fire and fire more like pacquiao and mayweather, the only thing that will settle them is on the ring knocking each other out lol!

 

Another Disco Choice - Bambula Poolside Extravaganza

I was out at Bambula picking up a birthday cake tonight (too long of story to tell) and picked up some information on their "poolside extravaganza." It is tomorrow night (Sept. 28) from 8 to 2. It is includes drinking, dancing, drinking, food, drinking and swimming. The DJ. for the Disco are Renz (from Zanzibar,Labeled...) and Devinic (From Hayahay, Taproom...) and a surprise act (wouldn't tell what or who on this one...maybe Jobinic from Siliman).. The Price for admission is 100 P with free SMB or Tanday Ice and free swimming.

I am not sure if they have pool tables there, but the swimming pool is great with night lighting, and has a slide and "grotto" too. Bambula is on the Valentica Road from Daiun to Valencia, and usually has a lite sign on the highway. They do have a web site and phone 0997973318.

I am pretty sure this is a one night event...but who knows...they denied that it was going to happen more than one night. O-|

How then would you describe the nationwide habit of brushing off foreigner complaints "automatically" in a word or two?

I was in a mall in Manila today, and while having a coffee heard some worker at a restaurant standing in front shouting greetings to disinterested passerby from 20 feet away- as if that was going to draw them into the restaurant..

After I was finished, I mentioned that in food courts in US malls, merchants often have someone standing out front with a tray of samples. She looked at me like I was crazy, and I could see she really didn't care for advice at all.

She may have even thought it was funny, which is the second worst trait here-just about anything new, but rational is comical.

Not everyone thinks the same and if you fully understands what he is trying to say about denial then good for you. I want it clarified because i dont understand fully what he meant and why he made those remarks. I dont have to describe the nationwide habit of brushing off foreigner complaints because in the first place it wasnt i who said it, you better ask Dave.
Restaurants are trying new things to draw customers. Others shout greetings, others offer samples like in Lee Plaza and Robinsons supermarket and others just put loud speakers and play loud music, i even saw mob dancing which is pretty hilarious but you have to give them credit for trying. Its a trial and error really, you have to try new things to see if it works or not and that goes not only in restaurants but other business establishments.

I have been to Bambulo a few times and I like it there. I will surely be there tonight to check out the Pool Party / Disco. I had actually thought it was last Friday and was pi$$ed because I missed it so I am glad you mention it here. I hope they get a good crowd but I think that they haven't been doing very well with their advertising so far.

Maybe they should talk to Rhoody about advertising here. DI probably gets more attention from the local expats than any other forum.
