    Hi,

once every few weeks I allow myself to have a breakfast in Ynot - Let Chalet, and I usually do not get disappointed. As always before, the meals were always pretty consistant and worth the money.

Yesterday I had ordered a "german breakfast" which turned out to be one of the lousiest breakfasts in my 6 years in the philippines.

The "cheese" were 2 tiny slices of magnolia processed cheese, the scrambled eggs were cold and completely unseasoned (additionally I could not believe they are actually 2 scrambled eggs) and last not least the sausage was one of these pure foods hotdogs that contain no meat at all.

When I ordered breakfast there before, the cheese used to be imported emmenthaler or something else from the deli shop, the sausage was something close to a nürnberger sausage.

I would not bother to write this if it would not be truly disgusting.
Did I get unlucky or what?

I assume that the economy in Germany is not at it's best and even a German breaky is not that what it was before...

joke aside, while even the best places worldwide can have a bad day, there can be many reasons why things happen. Your breakfast sounds very much unacceptable and hopefully you were really just unlucky.

My experience of the last 9 years here is that a complaint in appropriate way and volume can work out very well, IF the place is long-nose owned and/or managed.

When eating in Dumaguete's "upper priced" restaurants and food arrives not in the correct way, I stop eating and ask for the person in charge. That can be the manager, chef or owner and try to explain the issue. If the person in charge insists that "it has to be like that", well, than I vote with your feet.
Note: I don't talk to the waiter/waitress about anything, as she/he could not care less for 4k a month.

    cheers

    Rhoody

Recommendation: Try the R-Mall Sans Rival gourmet BLT sandwich, great breakfast or lunch. Good strong coffee as well.

The main problem I have with service is service. If you sit outside you,(I) almost always have to get up go inside a get a waitress. Even when they do venture outside they go directly to the table they are dealing with and don't even glance at other tables which leaves me with two choices either going back in or yelling "Excuse me can I get some service here" And I hate doing that. What the hell is so interesting they all have to hang around the cash register all shift?

But I do love the food there which is why I put up with it and keep going back.

BTW best service Ive seem to had was at Casablanca. and good food also
