"at 70 sex is a bit like playing pool and using a bit of roap for a que.[/QUOTE]" Sorry Alex, no offence intended, didn't realise it was your SIGNATURE keep on trucking Likewise I think mine is.......I used to be uncertain but now I'm not sure. (Happy days)
Mart One had music (noise) so loud that I would avoid walking down that part of the block. When I did though it seemed like the less business they had the louder the racket coming out of the speakers would be. I wonder if anyone had even has enough sense to realize that the noise was running off customers? Also my Daughter was involved with a singing competition where it was so loud it actually caused pain in my ears. Now when I was in the service I spent a lot of time shooting .50's and M-60's and I never experienced the magnitude of pain the singing event caused. This is the absolute truth. I told my kids if the sound is so loud it causes pain or fast headaches, then get out of there. Theres no entertainment worth losing your hearing for......(except maybe supercross) :D
Unfortunately here, the majority seem to rule. Few have the courage to go against the grain and speak up when things aren't right, and sometimes I think they don't have a clue as to what is best. How can anything improve if things always stay the same???
Unfortunately, complacency seems to rule. Many are not happy with certain things, but few have the courage to stand up and be counted. Change is not enough unless it is accompanied by improvement. Those who had the gumption to show their disapproval on EDSA a quarter of a century ago, were watched by millions who stayed quiet, until the result was in the demonstrators favour, and then suddenly those who stood aimlessly by became supporters. But when a foreigner raises an issue and highlights something that could be improved on, to the benefit of everyone, he is usually castigated as a moaner. So many people can't differentiate between an observation and a criticism.
