It's true that initially most Governments didn't know what they were dealing with or how to handle it. To a lesser degree they still don't have answer today, apart from social distancing which I'm sure you have read or seen is being ignored by many in a lot of countries. Until a vaccine is marketed, you can expect highs and lows in the numbers of positive's It is also stated that persons with health problems are more likely to die from the virus..... and that due to the loosening of restrictive travel a second spike is likely. For most people, the fact that they have mild symtoms, makes them feel the virus is not as serious as we are lead to believe! Well I can assure the doubters that having a friend (Filipino ) who I have always considered fit and healthy here in UK, spend over 50 days in hospital mostly on a ventilator....... This is not the time to be complacent!
What I don't like is these endless examples of the few young and healthy corona patients having severe complications. Yes, they exist and the media likes these stories. Instead of giving hope and telling people that there are hundred thousends of infected persons that have no symptoms at all or if only mild ones. Meaning we should not panic. Just be vigilant and don't worry too much. Gesendet von meinem SM-N950F mit Tapatalk
Yes, but having a tempered point of view and being vigilant is very rare. Being vigilant is the key here. You are projecting your point of view upon others in that you think they can act in a balanced way as you do. Earlier today a person posted this about some people: "They are simple people with simple minds incapable of critical thinking. They regurgitate the crap they read online verbatim." My point is that many people will go out and NOT be vigilant unless constantly being reminded. This is a communicable disease and the behavior of a few affects us all.
Exactly, dont worry to much because all stress and anxiety is helping to spread the virus! Just behave responsible, avoid mass gatherings inside specially with bad ventilation and continue to life. I know many here like sources for statements like this, for me it is common sense that a healthy body is more strong to fight any treat including a virus infection. We had viruses going around for billions of years and this will continue to be so. Ok, one link so interested people can read why we should stop focussing on all horror examples who got so terrible sick causing way to much stress. Most people will survive a corona infection and this is good news. Read here what stress will do to you natural defense against any intruder https://www.simplypsychology.org/stress-immune.html
I dont think stress and anxiety and I will add fear although it much the same thing, has anything to do with it. Only one word is necessary. Stupidity. It is abundantly clear that mixing together in a crowd without taking precautions is the reason it spreads. There is no other reason.
Sorry but I thought it was the other way round. Should we be concerned about catching any virus, of course we should, whether that's flu, colds or indeed this Covid 19. However until we learn more about Covid 19 and until it's truely under control, we should avoid unecessary gatherings and abide by the advice given. The greatest fear is the unknown........yes life does go on no matter what, but thats not to say we shouldn't be concerned.
Thats why i left the link under my post, where this is explained. Or at least in my eyes. Stress and anxiety lead to weaker immune system. I hope you understand why this helps a virus to spread.
