= Confused
= Context could make that a "roll eyes" or possibly a "wry smile".
= "Meh", "Whatever", "Not amused"
= Maybe this is closer to what you are looking for? It is under the "Animated Smilies" tab.

Not exactly surprising for the Philippines but, one would think the local's searched would outweigh the foreigner's searches...

Some people are what the restaurant business call "bad customers" those who won't complain so the management has a chance to fix it but will never go back and yes they sometimes do give a review of the food.
It is not the customers responsibility to tell the management if something is substandard.
The management needs to put the customers on the payroll if they intend to burden them with a responsibility.
I am one such bad customer. I don't work for the restaurant, I don't have to tell them anything. I don't go around slamming places as a general rule, I just don't go back. But if someone else brings it up, I very well may share my experience as I have every right to do. I'm not responsible for anyone else's business unless they are paying me.-

"*** Personal Attack / Confrontational Content Removed. ***"
Thanks to the moderator for cleaning up the thread . I think this was a good question, but quickly transformed into personal attacks. I think most appreciate DI because of the exchange of information and I hope it stays that way. Personally if I do not like a thread then I ignore it, if I can add some positive information, I try. I am not afraid of controversy, but I think the "punches should be kept above the belts". I do realize and accept we all have occasional bad days and sometime vent it out on DI.
I visit other blogs at times and in too many situations there are a few members of those blogs that keep up personal attacks on everyone and everything. Sometime it is caused by the admin who is trying to build blog with controversial topics that sometimes brings out the worst behavior in people. That type of behavior most likely discourages positive comments and content and exchange of ideas with a "friendly community feeling" on the blog.. I am glad there is an effort being made not to allow DI to follow the lead of other blogs.
If you like to attack others, and play "nationalism" games etc, then there are other blogs that have already taken on that format. I can understand nationalism humor between some here, as it is on a friendly basis and goes on whether on the blog or in person.
I appreciate the "Admins" effort to keep this a friendly community.-

Actually they can tell if you have insurance by running your plate. To renew registration you are required to have insurance and there is a NATIONAL DATABASE. If you were paying monthly for insurance and your insurance cancels you for non-payment, they report it to the state. Some places they come to get your license plates immediately. That is why I think your information is outdated.
Police can stop and ask questions, because anybody can, nothing special there. One needs not answer questions though. If you are stopped, the first thing one should do is ascertain if you are being detained or if you are free to go? If you are free to go, keep walking. If you are detained, ask if you are committing a crime or they think you have committed a crime and what reasonable suspicion they have for thinking so. If they can't articulate a reason beyond, "because I said so" they are violating your 4th amendment rights against unreasonable/illegal searches and seizures. They have in fact seized you, bodily, for no articulatable reason. They are on a fishing expedition.
Not to say they won't give you any sh!t over it but they are actually acting contrary to law. There are people who have been arrested and charged with nothing but resisting arrest. How is this possible? You have the right to resist unlawful detention, might not be smart to do so at the time, but it is your right. There needs to be an actual crime you are being arrested for before you can be resisting arrest, not so?
In the US any police officer can ask anyone to identify themselves, that doesn't necessarily follow that you must tell them, and I would ask them first If I were being detained and the reason why? There is also some confusion about having to carry identification, you don't have to, you can simply tell them who you are. You can't do something like board an aircraft without identification and not all states drivers licenses qualify as valid ID for boarding an aircraft, but then the choice to board an aircraft is voluntary, you could take the bus instead. If you are stopped walking, there isn't really a good substitute for walking, you are going to have to do it at some point. You need to have a drivers license on you while operating a motor vehicle for the simple reason that you agreed to do so. I don't now and have never had a license for walking.
There are a lot of conservative people who are fed up with police practices. If I had to identify where I stood I would call myself a Libertarian and strong fiscal conservative. Mostly I would like for police to concentrate on actual crime verses revenue generation for victimless crimes. I would also like police to spend as much time OBEYING the law as they do enforcing the law as one does not preclude the other. I know, call me a bleeding heart liberal.

I think they have missed that you are listed as STAFF here and you have a responsibility to give that gentle nudge. I believe that you forbear to nudge more than you nudge and nobody is immune to a one liner / zinger. That is just how I see it. This site's adninistration is pretty darn benevolent in my opinion and I think that anyone else who gives it some thought will agree.-
