my opinion is that you are way way off base rye. if you really want to know this guy, then chat with him a bit and let him answer some questions if he is so inclined. there is nothing wrong with supporting the constitution of the United States as you i presume are sworn to do. i think among other things this guy is a history buff.

i learned some about the soverign citizen thing thanks to the discussions here on this topic so thank you. i really don't think its fair or even intelligent to rush to labeling someone you have never met as supporting such an organization based i guess on your intution. i read that the soverign citizen members do not agree to pay taxes, do not agree that any laws apply to them and a multitude of other extremely disagreeable beliefs. i read there there are about a hundred thousand or so members. i rather doubt that you have found one, statistically speaking i would be probably 99.999999 percent sure (to use your statistical methods)

its just a suggestion but i would think the mission of dumaguete info is to establish good relations with as many expats as can be fit into the fold. obviously you are here to settle disputes and help us reach common ground and also to help us stay on plan. but wow, you don't have to use a flamethrower!

I am familiar with the common, and very ignorant, key words/arguments used by Sovereign Citizens and they were definitely on display in that post. You do not have to directly say what you are promoting for it to be blatantly obvious to others. It is not welcome here. The government can't punish you for most speech and must tolerate it for the most part, private entities do not have to offer that same courtesy and it can be downright detrimental for them to allow these types of groups to spread their nonsense (think government watch lists and legal requests from courts to access user profiles).

Also, this forum is primarily for conversations about Dumaguete and the Philippines. In no way does allowing a group, known by the FBI as domestic terrorists, to spread their hateful, destructive, promotional and ignorant speech benefit this website. It is not allowed here, just as promoting Islamic extremism is not. There will be no distinction between Islamic terrorists and Sovereign Citizens with me, both are terrorists in my, and the FBI's, eyes.

Well, if you are pure blood Apache or some other Indian Tribe then that would count for mainland North America but I guess there are not too many of those around anymore.

Not unless we buy one, right now the apartment is just fine. Happy Camper is an attitude, I find it better than Grumpy Old Man, which I am not, although I do have my moments.

I read it backwards, on your advice, and it still seemed evitagen.

Why are you insulted about being asked if you are related to someone you don't know. The answer 'no' is sufficient for me.

For me, personally, keeping chilled in this hot climate is always best.

hahahaha, well my friend, NFW!! i am not about to spend my time and energy trying to find stuff to placate you as "evidence" for my position; anymore than you site evidence for your concepts of "reasonable" or "evidence" or "rational thinking". lol

we are friends here is my opinion. if we were meeting for coffee you surely would not expect me to bring dictionaries and mongraphs and journals to support things i might say to you there, and i would not expect that of you in my case, i am retired!! my only real concern in life is if my social security check arrived once again!

you and others have had some infuence on my thinking here with covid and some other issues. more importantly collectively you have provided me information that has been of benefit to me, and i try to reciprocate. sometimes someone says something here that sends me to the library to flesh something out.

for me, my opinions about the complete waste of the covid debacle is just that, my opinion. my life in healthcare and my training as an epidemiologist hopefully gives me a little credibility on the subject, but if not so be it. to help generate a little more excitement for any readers, my training would lead me to suggest lyndon johnson as the president having the most influence over the covid crisis. (that is not a political statement mr moderator, its a conclusion i have reached as a professional epidemiologist)

anyway NMRM, i enjoy your posts. when i see you have issued another thoughtful and well written post i get the same excitement as i used to get when i would hear the morning paper hit the front door!
