My asawa wears a biometric chastity belt - I'm going to have to be careful. (@Rye83 - please note how I put myself into off-topic! Bonus points please).
It appears your are exhibiting a common side effect of to much MSG. Best cut back on that stuff my friend. It's really not good for you. I couldn't rate myself off topic so I'm here by choice. LOL
Sounds like time to get an SRRV. Or get married to a local, Jebuz you're getting old anyways. You bought a car, you built your own gym and even installed a high tech lock on you home. Those sound like serious commitments. Admit it you got old. LOL
I was thinking investment visa but the Philippines economy and stock market isn't all that appealing at the moment, I would have to continually sell my legitimate stocks that earn me dividends and capital gains just to maintain the minimum investment requirements in rapidly depreciating Philippines stocks. Too high risk ATM. I'm not qualified for an SSRV. No retirement income they approve of. Marriage visa...nope.
Yes, according to the agent, they would accept SS or other retirement income, not rental income for example. Okay for me. I'm just a little bemused that U.S.$1000 monthly is regarded as sufficient. But we've been all through that discussion. Still, I should think you could invest in some term financial product, an annuity for example, that would pay you $1000 monthly.
How much would I need to throw at an annuity that would pay out 1k/month for 40+ years? I'm guessing upwards of 400k. That would put a dent in the wallet.
