What ? and be forced to change proper driving habits like you guys, become a dope addict on cheap cigarettes, an alcoholic on that poisonous liquid of an unknown source of supply called Red Horse, breath in regularly the air there to cause numerous chronic breathing disorders, ...........you have to be kidding, I am a bit more fond of myself than that thanks.......lol.............:hilarious:...........:cigar:............... I chill very well, as soon as I get back to the good Country........

Someone cut in line in front of him again... was that you?
Dave also does not like the hypocritical stance this City takes regarding foreigners... if you are like being nasty to us in one area, ie. NC, then do not try to kiss our asses so we will come and spend our money here in another area ie PR campaigns. Be consistent.. if you do not like us we should all leave and tell everyone how bad it is,,, if you like us.. then stop allowing the paper or even one person (it is rumored that the author of the nasty article has struck before) to keep throwing unwarranted allegations at foreigners... I do not accept the NC's apology... I want to see a change in attitude! Theirs not mine )

Should we really hold the Tourist Department responsible for the words from a privately owned newspaper? Let's not let this topic bleed over into other threads. If you think the Government has a right/responsibility to filter the speech of newspapers/television then start a thread about it. We can debate it there.

I tried partnering up with a local to business owner and a couple friends about 2 years to buy some 711 franchises. Nobody was convinced that they would do good here. I look forward to throwing out a whole bunch of "I told you so"s.
[DOUBLEPOST=1431335583,1431335332][/DOUBLEPOST]So with that, I now say that the Mini-Stop franchise is going to be the next big thing in Dumaguete. Wherever 711 goes they go. (and their franchise fees are half that of 711!)

We drove by the 711 at lunch time Saturday, it was packed. Not sure what they serve in there but I don't think it is "I told you sandwiches".

711 and Mini Stop serve the same stuff. Last I looked 711 franchise fee was around P2 MIL and Mini Stop was around P1 MIL. They both serve very similar items (candy, soft drinks, iced drinks, donuts, a few hot meals). The menu is very similar to what your average gas station store would have in the US. (in Luzon the large majority are just the mini stores part of a gas station) The problem is only a Filipino can hold a franchise to these companies.
