Don't use that as an excuse. We all know it's because the ball and chain won't let you out of the house.
a US neighbour put a note outside our Barangay hall last month he tells me and was inundated with replies. It is a trust thing of course but doing that, where all knew that some hours were in the offing and the Captain knew about it reduces the risk even if only a little. Unfortunately my Wife Trusts no one but those she knows of or have some family or close friend relationship. I guess you could put a note at your local Sari, Sari and get the Owners to verify the applicant. Just a thought.
Thanks Jack for the suggestion. We tried that 2 years ago and my child's Piggy bank with 3500 peso was stolen along with two Japanese surplus bikes. Now my wife is also like yours. What do you think about a business that provides daily House helper services, set up kind of like the security guard services work here. Could there be enough demand to keep it going?
Well I guess it has it's merits but then again you would have to find Staff, on the Cleaning Side I feel that Finding one is bad enough let alone a crew to sustain a business and of course we would get the Flak & Compensation Demands when things happen. On the Security side I would hazard a guess too much hassle from Authorities to contemplate that. Now there is a thought. maybe, just maybe the local security Companies may have a list of Ladies ( or men) that are looking for Part time Work. In the UK these types of Services are 10 a penny and I do often Wonder, why it is not so here. But........... JMHO
Sounds like you have a wise wife. Better to be safe than sorry and never ever let anyone you don't personally know into the house. Preferably a relative.
Well as they say..... the older we get the more the Wife becomes the voice of reason. Thankful I'am hard of hearing in one ear already!
