yearly icr card renewal

...my wife called Duma BI this morning ( Tuesday)...they told her that "Yes", they can process the papers - IF, AND AS LONG AS - MY LAST FIVE YEARS OF ANNUAL REPORT PAYMENTS ARE RECORDED IN THEIR COMPUTER...if not recorded in their computer, you must go to Cebu....
Well - that's what she was told....who knows??
I will go 2maro and attempt to file. I had to renew my ACR I card in Cebu last year, and they had to get faxed copies of my previous payments from Duma, as they weren't shown in the computer! (Duma's BI fault) They would then process my application...which they did. At that time, Cebu BI said they ( Cebu BI) would update the Manila computer to show all my payments since 2007.......I sure hope Cebu BI did that!! LOL! If so, my payment record should be updated in the computer...I hope...and I will not have to go to Cebu BI....I hope and pray!

 

Not sure WHAT is going on! My wife has been dealing w/ BI Dgte for 2 days ... left a copy of my I-CARD with them to check if I can do AR there or not. Their system dead & would call back when it's fixed. No call yet!!

So, what is the "truth" of the situation??

This just adds to the 6 years of aggravation I've had in this country as a so-called "permanent" resident!!

 

My wife {Dual Citizen} also wrote a blistering email to BI HQ yesterday. Have tried to post it here, but keep getting server errors.

Anyway, we should ALL write them showing that this type of treatment will NOT go unpunished ... hit them where it hurts: in attracting visitors, retirees (and our money!) and foreign investment!!

Keep getting this error:

My friend just called from BOI. Same story, different day. He must go to Cebu! Why did they lie to us? I called BOI of Dumaguete last week and the girl told me they would be able to do this here starting the 20th of January!

 

Maybe not a lie, they did no say what year!

 

went today to do annual report...told again."you have to do in Cebu or Manila' cause the psat annuals done in Dumaguete were manual and not on computer.....grrrrrrrrrrr.. Any chance Dave you can arrange (again)for BI to come here??..Miguel

 

Am I reading this right, if you registered last year in Duma then you now have to report to Manduae? Perhaps they were so busy collecting big pesos from tourist visa extensions that our low-rent permanent resident fees went unprocessed?

Two years ago I registered in Mandaue, less than a minute as the I-Card reader spat out a receipt.

Last year the Duma office took more than an hour-ten despite the wall banner saying about 15 minutes, as we watched Pinay slow-motion in inaction. My wife chewed them a new orifice, how I love this woman.

Really, not that I'm complaining, after 12 years it's become a sport ..

Ok, kids.....here's the 'scoop' as of 1PM today from the Boss of Duma Bi ....
It's simple, really. (But a lot of "IF" are included! LOL!)
As already has been said several times by others:
IF your previous payment ARE recorded in the Duma computer; and IF your Annual Report is filled up correctly (and there are some anomalies!!); IF you have current, valid ACR-I card and 1 copy, both sides; 1 new "passport size" , RECENT color picture (not a pc print out); Current valid Passport and 1 copy of it's info page, entry date stamp,and permanent residents 13a date stamp...they CAN process your Annual Report renewal.
The also want a a copy of the whole package, as they say the Original will go to Manila BI HQ and Cebu BI will receive the copy. Don't forget - form filled out in black ball point only! Sign it there in front of "the help", and they will notarize it there.
ANYONE whose previous payments are NOT recorded in the Duma computer MUST go to Cebu. After you turn in your documents, get printed, etc..then they will check to see if your payments are in the computer. The guard out front will give you a 'fall-in-line' number. before you go i open through lunch time, yes...but one worker only. :o:D:DO-|
All depends upon your previous payments being properly entered in the computer! Last year...mine were not: but in renewing my ACR-I card at Cebu, they got it cleared up with the Duma office and issued my new card after about a hours wai only. So it was the Cebu BI office - in my case - that made the enterys into the main computer at Manila HQ. Lucky me! :D:D
