    I am the only one of 10 military guys in a military hospital in Okinawa at the time who survived (barely) a Japanese Encephalitis epidemic from mosquito bites. I hope the World Health Organization can find a solution to the Zika Virus. All these epidemics are seriously deadly.

    Looks like it has been in the Philippines.....and probably for quite some time. It just hasn't been associated with birth defects here. (And it turns out the virus is pretty much a non-event for the vast majority of those who contract it.)
