Pura Vida Dive Resort | Dumaguete Info

Pura Vida is a popular resort even for residents of Dumaguete City. It’s supurb food, cold beers, swiming pool and atmosphere are impressive enough to afford the 15km drive from the city center. Located at the end of Washington road in Dauin, it’s ideally located for it’s feature packed dive packages and Apo Island dives.

Their 28 rooms are well spaced out, clean and very comfortable and range from around 3000 peso per night for a standard aircon room for 2 to around 6000 peso per night for a Family Deluxe room (for 4). All rooms include welcome a drink and breakfast and extra beds are available for 1000 peso/night.

The popular company Sea Explorers (with other brances in Bohol, Malapascua, Moalboal and Cabilao) operate the busy dive programme with daily trips to Apo Island and more local dive sites and host the PADI Career Development Center. With lessons available from beginner (8 years and up) to instructor in English, German, Dutch, French, Spanish, Japanese, Tagalog and Visaya; Sea Explorers have a large chunk of the market.

The international restaurant is certainly a great asset too, serving top class meals from a vast menu until late in the evening.
