Back in the day the police/army would ride around in open jeep with 50 cal mount in back. Think Rat Patrol type vehicle. Gave you a warm and fuzzy feeling.
those are real Hawk anti-aircraft missiles the original of which are dated from 1959 as a replacement for the Nike Hercules missile lol. In 1994 the U.S. Army replaced them with the Patriot missile system but they were in service up until about 2002 by the USMC. I personally like the guy with the "shoot me" white light on his kevlar instead of night vision system.
Perhaps tell the Chinese that the Philippine military equipment is paper mache, all painted with lead paint! That otta spook them.
Those relics are a joke. They should load 10,000 Dengue Mosquitoes in the war heads for cause and effect.
Even as old as they are I wouldn't find it very amusing to have them aimed at a plane I was a passenger in....then again, someone would first need to find and then wake up the soldier who was suppose to hit the launch button, of course they would need to find enough cash to convince the soldier it was worth his time to push the button, then once sufficiently "convinced" it was actually his job to push the button they would have to retrain him on which button it was he was supposed to push in the first place.....on top of that the launch count down would likely have been programmed to Filipino time so I would have already have left Philippine airspace, landed in the US, took a few domestic connection flights, made the two hour drive from the airport to my parents house and be tucked in bed by the time they got around to firing them.
