The "Project Santa" where our goal was to give all the kids who are in the Provincial Hospital during Christmas a gift came to action on Christmas Eve. We had 145 presents ready to go to those who have nothing. Each little present had some hygiene-stuff, some toys and some educational items (Infants got a staff-toy instead of educational gift) As we are real gentlemen, we thought "Ladies First" and let them pack and carry everything ... many helping hands came to Bogarts, where we met to wait for Santa to arrinve "someone" asked me not to publish this picture.... well, not all Christmas wishes become true
Finally Santa "Bill" Clause arrived. On the way here he traded his reindeer into a more up-to-date transportation ... ... of course he brought a little helper ... and off we went to Provincial Hospital... Merry Christmas to all of you and especially to all who made with their effort, donations and big heart this project become reality
Project Santa was completed successfully and it was great to get something to everyone who was on our original target list. Fantastic effort by all concerned and very grateful thanks to those who helped in any way. Rhoody and Rechel plus two mini monsters worked their socks off to make this happen, their house became a virtual bodega, and coupled with all the stuff that also arrived for Sendong relief meant that they havnt seen their floor for a couple of weeks. :o Special thanks also to Santa Bill Mitchell (AmarinerAdrift) who stepped in to the role at very short notice and even went and got his own Santa suit tailored so that it was a good fit on his slim and sylph-like figure :D So, Santa has gone home for another year, but relief for Sendong goes on and the response has been both remarkable and phenomenal. The generosity of so many people knows no bounds and the response has been beyond our wildest dreams. Thank you to one and all, for helping to make the lives of the less fortunate a bit more bearable, particularly at this time of the year. Roger
