After a late night at Freedom Park, my boss kicked me out of bed for the Buglasan 2012 Festival showdown, which is supposed to start at 8:00 am at the Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center. It took until 10:00am until all VIP's were on their seats and the Buglasan 2012 - Festival Showdown finally started. The Festival Showdown is probably the highlight of each years festival. The winner of different municipality festivals compete against each other at the Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center to find out who is the best in Negros Oriental. I could not be a judge, as for me all are winners. The whole event is each year just amazing and it's great to see the passion, love and energy each single performer shows to represent his/her municipality. There must be thousands of hours spend in the background to create all those colorful costumes, floats and accessories. The pictures really don't give justice to the vibrancy of this event, but surely give an idea about what was going on. Here some shots of the Buglasan 2012 - Festival Showdown in the Lamberto L. Macias Sports and Cultural Center
and the last few: and last and most important, the person who takes all that shots and sneaks backstage on all events to get some special shots: The Boss: hope you enjoyed the pictures of the Buglasan 2012 Festival Showdown cheers Rhoody PS: The Boss drinks Tanduay Ice, just in case you ran into her... feel free to invite
thanks a lot, but I really just put the logo on it, collect cell-numbers and upload them ... this sets uploaded with lower quality, as the last Buglasan could be found on quite some websites with the logo cut out and no credits :( all hard work is done by the boss
Great photo job. Thanks to both you and the boss. Great job, I saw you there, and also realize I had forgotten my camera... well sort of I was really looking for the motorcycle show and stumbled on to pageant. It was good to know you would be there taking the pictures. Maybe as a fund raiser you could auction off some of the cell phone numbers, there were some great beauties there. I saw the same groups in the parade. After being rained on, with 110 % humidity and still very hot, they never lost their smiles as they danced around the streets. There is lots of energy on display with the groups. It is wonderful to see such happy contestants. It is truly wonderful and spectacular event.
I posted links to these 3 great pages on my own Dumaguete page: Dumaguete City Features, Plaza, Beach, etc (at the bottom)
