Hope you are getting better now.

Anyway, I wonder if Filipinos you were dining with experienced the same problem?

Hi Manzanita. Just hope you recover well and quickly. Brings to my mind, when I was younger I was returning by bus from Legaspi to Manila. At a rest stop I stupidly bought a drink from a vendor. Picture clear tied plastic bag, orange flavour drink, straw. I didnt drink much before my stomach gave a warning. All your same symptons. How I managed to reach Manila and charge to a comfort room was a miracle took me a few days to recover any appetite. You must drink lots of good water. Take care.

Thank you Josephen, all well now.
My Daughter was with me, she even had a big piece of my sweet/sour pork and she was fine.

What I highly suspect was the halo-halo I had. I think it was the leche flan on top or the ice.

You are welcome. Glad to know you are ready for your next consumption at the same place now :D.

I was thinking maybe it was not even hygiene issues that normally upset tummy (esp. for foreigners) but the way Filipino dishes are prepared.
They are prepared and cooked in too much grease and oil that will send you to the lavatories immediately after the meal.

I know one "popular" restaurant....who when told that six people got sick eating there.....the management's response was "Don't eat here anymore"

They may not want to make you sick.... but obviously some do not care when you do get sick

There can be problems even in the BEST restaurants.....but the attitude of the management is important.....
I usually get chicken soup at CK....I once complained about a burnt taste....they corrected it immediately and I have never had a problem since then
