    Yeah...but have you tried the "basic down to earth eatery for really cheap"? Those places will definitely make you regret & labour hard on your toilet......

    This has become an interesting thread! For the record, my babies are not orangutans. My 10 month old can't climb trees yet but my two year old can scamper about on low branches of a mango tree? Have you ever climbed trees? Tons of fun!

    I've lasted in Tanjay for almost two months. Enjoyed every minute of it. True, the main road of Tanjay is quite dismal but there's stuff going by the plaza. Besides, we'll be in Dumaguete often since we'll have a car at our disposal.

    As for street food...nothing has given me any gastrointestinal problems. However, I've been eating mostly home cooked food. What has given me trouble is the rum! Very strong and get easily tipsy.

    Here's a question:

    How do the locals relate to expats? Do you find it a positive experience?

    Well usually they will get one of their daughters to marry an expat, then they are ALL related to one! Usually it is a positive for the entire family.
