Went to PHIVOLCS this afternoon and they did give me information on the two earthquakes felt here on Wednesday and Thursday. Here goes: on Wednesday at 8:12 a.m. a magnitude 2.8 tremor/intensity 3 tremor was felt in Dumaguete, Valencia, Sibulan and a few other places. It was volcanic in origin, most likely from the Cuernos de Negros, close to the Mt. Talinis, an inactive volcano with no recorded eruption for the last 600 years. Today, Thursday, a magnitude 4.5 earthquake was recorded near Anda, Bohol, and was felt in Hibok-hibok, Camiguin (intensity 3), Cebu City and Jagna, Bohol (intensity2), and in Dumaguete City and Tagbilaran City, Bohol (intensity1). It's surprising these two tremors have not been reported yet to the USGS. :(

hi and yes i find it strange that they were not shown on the usgs site as i've spoken to others that agree that there was an quake.

I personally didn't feel it, but my DT's prevent detection of minor tremmors lol so to prevent unnecessary panic.........Drink more!!!
