    Hi, we found this near Bournemouth beach and from the people we've asked so far noone seems to know what it is. It's just a bit bigger than a golf ball and is still alive as we can see it slightly opening and closing at times. Is anyone able to identify it from the attached pictures?

    The first photo seems to show a closed fist while the second one shows the object to be just a regular shell that natives love to cook and eat. I do not know its name though.
