We are just back from 4 weeks Filippines. We arrived at the airport and the airport service from Palwa was there to pick us up. Palwa is a good place to stay. We had a familie room for about 1800 a night. They have good service and free Internet (wifi) on all the floors. And they have Red Horse Beer! In the evening we were walking over the boulevard and were eating Balut. I was surprise they still sell it. The boulevard is a nice place to visit in the evening. For the 4 weeks we were renting a car from Ken's trading. The car was good looking, but was not in good condition. (we found out later). Ken's service was good, every time we had troubles he helped us quickly. One time the car did'nt drive anymore, but within 1 hour we had another car. We did some diving and my daughter got her Junior Open water licence from Dive Worx. The dive shop is not as good, mostly the shop is closed, but the instuctor (Pat) is very good. In our house in Malabago we had many brownouts. This is still a problem in The Philippines. We bought a Smart Bro for internet connection. But this did'nt work. In Malabago we had no connection at all. In Dumaguete close to the airport we had the best connection: a speed of 2Kb!! Around Dain we had about 0.2 Kb. The traffic in Dumaguette is getting crazy. No rules at all. I was driving more carefully than the most Filipino "drivers", but when I drive here in the Netherlands like I did in the Filippines I will loose my driver licence for many years. They are making good road now, but the traffic is crazy. All toghether we had a good holiday in The Philippines.
