Nice picture of the old library, in retrospect-the library was completed at least two years before we graduated from the college of engineering.It was not painted then and still not painted until now and looks ugly.I could imagine we sat on the same table I seen on the picture having conversation with the librarian or librarian helper- that asked us to do it somewhere outside.

Silliman Medical Center and Guardian Healthcare Providers, Inc., a staffing agency based in Tennessee has recently tied up on a pioneering and innovative training program dubbed as the Silliman Medical Center Registered Nurse Professional Development Program to train US-bound registered nurses.

This program is designed to further the goals of both the Hospital and Guardian by providing increased training and professional development opportunities to registered nurses enrolled in the program.

This program is hoped to enhance the clinical competencies and skills of RNs, especially for those who plan to practice their profession in the US.

For Silliman Medical Center, the training program is envisioned to improve the quality of care that it provides to its patients.

Because of this, it is expected that the Hospital will provide a working environment for nurse professionals that will approximate that of US healthcare facilities.

Guardian, on the other hand, will be supporting the Hospital in achieveing its goal of training RN-participants.

This relationship with Guardian may also allow the Hospital to link with healthcare facilities in the US, whereby medical equipment can be handed to the Silliman Medical Center, allowing it to have facilities at par with facilities used in US hospitals.

Thanks so much for these photos, echir! I really appreciate all these photos that you've been putting up, including in the other threads. It's great to have verbal updates, but visual ones are so much more amazing, and the impact is powerful when you see these things happening in our quiet little city of gentle people. I can't believe how our city is growing. I never imagined that the development bug would hit our place so fast and hard.

 

Oriental Negros Provincial Convention Center and Sports Complex



General Objective:
The province will create modern convention and sports facilities of a standard which allows to attract and host major regional, national and eventually international sports and convention events. The integrated convention and sports complex will provide an important stimulus to the local tourism industry.

General Description:
Components of the project are the construction of a 2,000 seats convention center, a 45 bed room hotel with restaurants and the upgrading and rehabilitation of the track and sport field area. These facilities complement the already existing indoor sport hall and the Olympic size swimming pool.
