Got a text earlier, from a friend in Dgte, they spent the whole day yesterday at Agan-an (it's a spot we always go to). Mamam hangtud sa gabii, nag tiwas sa city. Gipa-ibog gyud ko. The bastards!! Pag-uli nag yawyaw ang asawa!! :D

 

I spend my time to read the post her.i live in dumaguete but i dont stay longtime in my place.evrytime i go back home 2 weeks to much vacation for me ther.i love dumaguete,and i miss to spend my x mas ther.xmas is a fiesta in sta.monica in banilad. LUCY

 

I have been on lots of forums, this one is unique for a couple of reasons. folks tend to very tolerant of each other, and it is truly a multi cultural community with Pinoy and expat posters mingling. The flames are infrequent and short lived for the most part. This especially surprises me because of some of the insensitive comments made by some here.
Lets face it on forums you can say things you might not say to a persons face, take on a new persona, and still it's friendly here.

This is one of the best that happened to Dumaguete ,the creation of this forum with more life,promoting this city and province.I think the ones creating this forum specific for dumaguete deserves an award.

It's true forums and blogs are way to go to express you ideas of issues with anonymity ,not endangering your life for your contrasting or even extreme opinions of very sensitive issues ,unless you tell everyone your address and happily posting your pictures in forums.It happened in one thread few weeks ago 'Filipino artist in Dubai' where i felt really hammered, all filipino posters were completely hating me of it despite my initial apologies on the same post. It was only my personal opinion and of myself avoiding filipino/tagalog entertainment / tagalog language , sadly with the majority perceiving it like an assault to the national pride,d*mn:p . Perhaps , if I openly have said it in person or face to face with the filipino crowd, i have no doubt any minute i might be stab or gunned down to death for saying it. Out of rage my own fellas even try to turn me into a fly on the carabao,lol. Now, if I say normal halo-halo looks non-edible and a bit yucky, I'm not surprised I'll be subject to some local curse ,lol.

 

This forum is great. I have learned so much about Dumaguete.

Good on you pickled newt for having your say. I think your posts are really cool.
