⌛ Bethel or Palwa

Finalizing my first trip to Dumaguete this July and need to decide on a hotel. Hotel Palwa is 949Php with complimentary airport pick-up (return is 300 Php). Bethel House seems to have a better location on the Blvd and has an Ocean View Family Suite for 2000 Php.

Does the forum think the extra 1000 Php is worth the location and sea-view? Any advice/tips is greatly appreciated.

 

That depends what you are going to do here. I would safe the 1000 Peso as I would not wanna spend my time in a Hotel-room.

 

How far, many minutes do you need to WALK form Palwa to Blvd ?

 

pedy cabs are cheap. i would stay at the palwa. i do find it has better service.

 

Palwa to Boulevard is 10 minutes maximum. There is also another new Hotel with the name Obdulias. http://www.dumagueteinfo.com/hotel-obdulias-business-inn.php

It is in the center and 5 minutes to the boulevard. I hope it helps....

If you come in December, you also want to consider Hotel Nicanor, a kind of Sister Hotel to Palwa, 2.5 Minutes to the Boulevard

Both are OK, I have stayed in both, Bethel is at Blvd and Hotel palwa is walking distance to the Blvd, the market, etc. pedicab fare is cheap, I'll save my 1,000 a day but you could try a few days in Palwa with the free airport pick up and then try Bethel for a few days and check out the difference they are a few blocks away of each other. I like trying different hotels.

BTW, are there any hotels of rooms for rent in Valencia ?

No need to warn me for a stay in Val. ;-)
