    Hi ritz

Why bother about the gecko ,you're only for 2 months there, your family weren't even bothered living with this poor persecuted soul for 5 yrs, darn ,what's scary about it ? It helps cut down the number of creepy crawlies in the home economical and no pesticide use as part of their food chain, apart from its poos though. If ever you dispose that creature ,hope
no harm or killing of it.

Nipa huts are excellent havens for geckos, centipedes, scorpions, and other crawlies. A centipede once lodged in my pants which I hang on the wall. When I put on my pants, the centipede started to "jog" on my thigh! I just had to squash it to pulp by squeezing my pants!
My Canadian friend when we were in a Palawan resort got a fright when a scorpion dropped to his sink from the thatched roof. Those are the little critters that the tuko failed to capture.

We have two Tukows one in the kitchen and the other in the living room,
I think they are funny chasing after flies, trouble is they sh*t every where.

We have a deaf mute Tukaw living under our stairs, never hear the familiar call, but when going up the stairs sometimes we see him dart into his hiding place, one of the biggest I have seen.

to get them off your house, chase them with a water gun. or just catch them and put them outside. works for me. but they're still noisy. :D

btw, they actually move farther away when you go near and try to grab them. haven't experienced being jumped on yet. that makes them afraid of us, not the other way around. how would you feel if godzilla came to town?

Can anybody record the sound of the tukaw and make it into a ringtone? I would love to have it on my cellphone!
