Hey Teach, "Kuwan" has no meaning. It is simply a "place word" used whenever the speaker forget or can't remember any word, object, subject, person's name, etc.

So in short "Kuwan" means that although it is actually nothing it could mean anything or everything. Is that clearer now?

I'll share some and these are blockbuster words in dumaguete with a mixture of visaya and english. Try to use these word with your filipina wife and see the effect.

Oh let me tell you last night I took our a quart of ice cream, took a couple of scoops and gave one to my wife and one for me. Next thing I know she was mouthing off " Don't forget to put the "Kuwan" in the back in the "Kuwan". May sound funny but I know exactly what she meant. So I just said, Yea I won't...being a good boy that I am..

Enjoy using "Kuwan" believe me it can get you out of a lot of sticky situation if you become an expert in using it...

Many of the words there are actually Bisayan slang or street Bisayan which are usually coined by a certain group, particularly the members of the gay community who are very fond of coining new Bisayan words that only they can understand.

SO what's your point? I heard many of these words and not from the gay. However I really don't care where the words came from they are funny and that is what is important...
