I have had Cignal for about a year. I also had a receiver go dead after only 3 months of use. Their service is horrible. After a lot of running around, I finally got a replacement, about a month and a half later. The one I have now isn't acting right and when it goes out, I'll probably get Dream, since that is my only other choice other than a antenna. Good time to expand your DVD collection.

Hope you have better luck than I did.

    Just Can't believe it!

 What can I say Pat? I just don't believe this is happening to you, after our conversation on Friday I just felt that the road had straightened a little. What a way to do Buisness, sell a product when you have no Product to Deliver. Is it Too late to change your Provider or was this only way foward at this time? I mean they have failed in providing a service, so to me, they have broken any contract they may have with you. If there is an Alternative and it was me, I think I would cut my losses and move on. Then, that is easy for me to say as we don't have the problem here, I was just really offering some support in what I guess is a very Frustrating situation.
My Turn for Snacks or Brunch when you have time.

Jack, once again we are on the same wave link. As much as I hate to cut my losses (once again), I was going to Cignal from Robinson's today to tell them to stuff it, but got rained out and had to buy some jackets for the ride back to Bacong. I would hope the PI have a "failure to perform" understanding when you sign a contract and have to bail out. Their satellite dish is already installed but no box or commitment date so I will see what the impact of saying f__k it to this deal.

    Up and at them.

 Pat, I am sure most of us, do not like complaining or reversing an order, cancelling a contract or just bailing out BUT you have come so far so quickly that it, well to my mind, just leaves a sour taste in the mouth. Best of luck with the Store Visit, Give them "HELL" my friend.

    Cake

The cake Marie Antoinette was talking about was carbon from the bakers oven, called cake. I'm thinking Marie was not a nice person.

On a different note....but the same note....as I was surfing the Cignal website, there was a page, something to the effect "please do not buy satellite from these companies as they sell only altered boxes that you don't have to pay monthly charges" (words to that effect), then it listed about 50 or more companies with addresses and websites and phone numbers.
I thought to myself "d*mn, that's nice of them to tell people where they can buy hacked boxes".
    Lol

    Cignal/Dream, SmartBro/Globe Tattoo

will update this thread in case there is interest or people considering any of the above, in a semi-remote location.
    1. Cignal: Box crapped out day 2, no inventory, no commitment for replacement. So I went there and told them they failed to perform and I an canceling the deal, and I want some of my money back. Worker there said she would tell her boss.
    2. Dream: Went to POS and ordered 2 satellite boxes, one dish, and one splitter (Cignal did not have a splitter in inventory and told me I had to order 2 dishes if I wanted 2 boxes for 2 tv's). POS has boxes in inventory (Cignal said their normal replacement time is one month, if your box goes down)
    3. Cignal sends me a note saying they will give me a demo box; they did not offer this the 8 days I was down and until I told them I am quitting their deal. I told them I don't want their box, I am ordering Dream. Cignal says can I give them until Monday, I say no. Later, Cignal tells me no problem, just pay the termination fees, I tell them they owe me money and will get nothing from me. Cignal texts they did not fail to perform, my problem that I could not wait until a replacement.
Meanwhile, Dream coming tonight to install dish and 2 boxes.

SmartBro/Globe Tattoo wireless prepaid modems. I get a SmartBro signal with 4 bars and can use it, I get no signal from Globe. I have 125 free hours from Globe expiring in 30 days so......

Life in the PI boondocks (only 4 blocks from the national hiway)
