Exactly. If you expect to maintain your western lifestyle it will cost. If you're willing to live simply it is possible to stretch a budget pretty far. One very important factor is either knowing what things should cost or know someone that is very good with money (my asawa for example). Having just returned from 4 weeks of provincial living (not the first time either) I think I can safely say I'm willing and able to give up most luxuries to meet my budget projections.

 

Columbo arrives sunday

The yearly time to relax in Bacong starts friday, arriving sunday for 6 weeks . Maybe I will meet some of you guys.

One reason I want to move back to the Philippines from Texas is that here in the US my monthly budget for everything runs $3,000+ to $6,000. Compared to the Philippines, it's only gonna be

 

Dreaming is easy reality is a different matter, when the dollar is going as fast down as at the moment.
Then it has the same valeu as the peso in about 3 years.

Well, with GWB away from the White House,I think the foundation for a climbing dollar will be there in a while. If not the US people vote for another Cowboy.:(
