I have some very serous health issues and do not expect to live any longer than my dad did. He died at 72 and my grandfather died at 59. both died of heart attacks and I had heart surgery in Dec. 2004. As for my wanting cremation over burial, I don't like the idea of spending eternity in a box buried among the dead. If I'm scattered in the garden or even on the lawn my spirit will be released to reinter the web of live among the living. Ya, I know "Dead is DEAD" but how do any of us really know till we get there. I love the sun shine there in Dumaguete and like the idea of spending eternity in the "Sun Shine", among the living.

    My 2¢
    Jim

I want em' to find a scenic spot in the forest and prop me up against a tree, and just leave me there for a bear to eat.

Than whenever someone asks..."wheres Melvin?", one of my friends can answer....

"Does a bear poo in the woods?"

Sunshine can make us happier .Now it's gloomy here in england, surprisingly not so cold as it used to,but still i would dream to be in more sunny place.Living in gloomy cold places in longer time duration ,specially when the weather is miserable, lesser day time hours longer nights, huh,you feel like you got enough,it seems bringing you down. And if with luck the sun comes out even during a cold day,it brightens up the mood, only to wish it is often like it everyday despite the cold air ,i feel happier when i see the sun .So i could emphatize what you were saying grandpainak. Perhaps it will make you feel a lot more better as well which brings out the good in living and chasing more to live longer, life is so precious ,i wish i could live even more than a hundred or more , kicking well .Wish you well and more happy life and years in dumaguete grandpainak ,who knows you can bypass the tradition.
