    I wanted to tour the area for the day with my girlfriend and her friend, so I used a couple pages from Dumaguete Info as a guide. One page alone had plenty of sites to visit just in Valencia. I mainly targeted destinations in Valencia and Zamboangita (a word I can't say :D ...Zambo??????ita ). I didn't want to spend most of the day driving which would make the most of our time.

    Valencia --> Sightseeing Around Dumaguete
    &
    Negros Oriental Sightseeing

    My friend I was staying with let me use his van for the day. :cool: Yep, a Kano driving in PI.

    Disclaimer: I am typically too liberal with all the pictures I include. I figured it is better to have too much instead of not enough. :smile:

    First stop, the Malatapay Market held every Wednesday. I was curious to see this and also ask about boats to Apo for a future day trip.

    More info about the market: Malatapay Market

    After parking, we made our way through the crowded street to get to the market.

    On a personal note, I like it when I see signs asking to not litter (on left). Sometimes I see my girlfriend litter, but don’t say anything since it is her country and I am a visitor. Each time I see it I have that mental picture of the Indian crying (old US commercial). Is littering a common practice in PI?
