Hello Ron and thanks for the useful info.I will email you on your personal email address for I have a few other questions for you.Are you familar with Delaguete?It would be east of you and south of cebu city.A guy has offered to sublet his apartment to me for a while so I can look around and find a more permanent place.Much better to pay 6,000 pesos a month for rent than 20usd a nite for a hotel room.I am also considering Dumaguete/Valencia to retire because I might be able to get at least a part time job there teaching English at one of the language schools or even a college-university.I have 8 years teaching experience in Korea and China at all levels and ages 8 yrs to adult and also now university students here in Shanghai.Only problem in dumaguete there will be higher rents there because it is a college-university town.They are charging as much as 10k a month for rentals when thats a months salary average where you are at...Thanks again for the info.....Jimmy in Shanghai
