    Business Magazine MoneySense

    The magazine used three components in judging the cities: standard of living, quality of life, and cost of living.

    The magazine said they used two previous studies -- The Philippine Human Development Report of the Human Development Network and the United Nations Development Programme and the Philippine Cities Competitiveness Ranking Project (PCCRP) of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Policy Center -- as basis of the new list.


    The magazine's top 20 Livable Cities in the Philippines are

    1. Bacolod
    2. Makati
    3. Davao
    4. Marikina
    5. Iloilo
    6. Las Piñas
    7. Pasig
    8. San Fernando
    9. Mandaluyong
    10. Quezon City
    11. Manila
    12. Batangas
    13. Cagayan de Oro
    14. Muntinlupa
    15. Angeles
    16. Baguio
    17. Lipa
    18. Calamba
    19. General Santos
    20. Cebu

    for me. i don't care if dumaguete is not included on the list.Dumaguete is my top choice to live in the future because it's unique than other cities .That's what i care and concern of at the moment ,that i hope the uniqueness will not disappear.....

    As Manila, Angeles and Cebu-City is part of the list, it tells a lot about the quality of the list.... very beautyful Cities, very cheap to live there and high quality of life... cant agree more.

    must have been compi;led by a load pof sad expats then
    who like malls etc
    For Angeles to even make the top millionth says it all really
    each to their own and no offence to mods here but to me Angeles would be the last place to actually live
    way too much dust and pollution and apart fro m bar hop nothing to do what so ever and I don't see the point in living here if you don't live near the sea

    No arguments with #1 (good choice), 3, or 5 but you'd have to wonder about some of the rest of them. Thought Dumaguete would have made it on the list...maybe after Robinsons and SM.

    Manila Cebu etc?..well that depends on WHERE you are! eg : Colon Cebu...not too good! Manila??? yes take a stroll along the sidewalks and take in the lead! No this list is very haphazard, all depends on where you look. not long ago I was reading that Davao is a bit iffy for safety for foreigners...so? Most cities in the world are black and white if you look around, London is one, do you know that people live in cardbaord boxes still there? under railway arches sleeping rough, or Nottingham agh the land of Robin hood and Nottingham castle...BUT it is the Crime capital of UK.

    IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHAT YOU WANT TO SEE AND HEAR AND IN SOME CASES SMELL
