Dumaguete Studio Apartments offers short term rentals; they do not cater to the long term market. They want tenants who do not know where they want to stay or how long. There is no lease. No contracts. Everything is furnished including towels, bedding, silver ware, pots and pans... everything... just bring your clothes. They operate similar to a hotel. If you want cheaper place to stay then look around until you find something and move out. They will even help you move. And, the stove does not look like a camping stove. It is a deluxe 2 burner gas stove. The apartments also have free microwave ovens. There is even a large gas oven in the guest area if you want to bake.

Dumaguete Studio Apartments is not for people who want to live here year round. This place caters to short term tenants who come to Dumaguete for a 1 to 2 month visit. They even accept tenants on a weekly basis. You cannot find a nicer more secure place to hang your hat for a short stay. Everything is furnished. Its like a super-deluxe hotel with your own kitchen.

For full disclosure: dwms07 is the owner or manager or representative of Dumaguete Studio Apartments.

He had one spam post removed, and was after that approached by Rechel about advertising instead of spamming the forum.

His reply to her was not so nice, and in my opinion bordering to both threatening and rude, declining the offer of advertising with us.

As far as I can see there are a lot of positive comments about the place on DI, and I would even have considered this place myself for a longer than my usual vacation stay. but I really don't like his tactics here.

But in the spirit of Christmas and letting dwms07 save a few pesos to advertise his business, I will let these 2 posts stay up.

And to dwms07 - please stop spamming our forum and you have my email address if you have any questions about this!

Actually, it kinda does "look" like one.

Max Burton® Portable Butane Burner (08254) - Camping Equipment - Ace Hardware

Deluxe? By what standard? Compared to a fire pit, yes, I consider it "deluxe". I get the market you are trying to cater to. For short term it's a good deal. For long term there are better options out there.

(btw: I am not an owner, manager, employee or stock holder of Ace Hardware or Max Burton.)

Im kinda guilty about this one, I spammed the forum when I first signed up without reading the rules not realizing that I was already breaking the rules glad the mods are considerate and heard me out and accepted my apology.

On topic: the only thing I can say about the place without having to live there since my house is just right across it is that, they kept it clean. About the stinking smell of the dumping site, it isn't as bad as it used to because the council is moving the rubbish somewhere else (has a lot to do with the camella homes). I've been there for 4 months and I haven't smelled what everyone described as terrible smell, it must be that bad before.

Haha, DW - David Williams. Makes sense.

I'm aware of the bit about advertising and I wouldn't even mention the place except that it's ****ing hard to tell someone how to rent a place here. If it were any city in the U.S. you have so many choices and so many resources to find those choices that asking someone where specifically to stay would be a stupid question.

    Here, on the other hand...

You have very few choices that you can find before you get here. Aside from some budget hotels, the options that I can find are way expensive. Your only option is to get a hotel, drive around looking for signs and talk to people.

"Where to stay" is probably the number one most important question coming from a foreigner planning to live here and yet difficult to answer.

It's crazy how many foreigners here have the idea to open a resto-bar or internet cafe instead of trying to solve a real problem.

Whatever, I feel like I'm camping every day I live here, no matter where I'm living.

You can pm the owner of Dumaguete Studio Apartments HERE

Also check out Villa Prescilla - they are also not requiring long term leases.
