Firefly I agree with you, most people are good and decent, etc...no reason for doom and gloom just yet.
I wanted to point out, that if 99% of the citizens in any society possess the qualities you mention, all of our problems would vanish. The problem is much bigger than that.

 

Hi Jimf. Maybe not quite 99% but most good people don't get into the news. In fact lots of good persons came forward after the trouble armed with brushes to clean up some of the created mess.
If we go back in history European, American, Asian we have some terrible things happening even in some places today.
I have read most of your good countryman Dean Koontz's books they go somewhere we haven't got to yet. A great author.
