As long as one group of people perceives another as being "lower class" the abuse humans foist upon each other will persist. This includes elitism, racism, nationalism, religion and tribalism.
    (edit: and sexism)

Certainly it is a bit of touchy subject in that respect, but tbh I do not have problems with ppl about class, the bottom line is respect for your suroundings and a bit of interest in the ppl around you.

I live in the middle of Amsterdam center and I am open to anybody and everybody should have their fun, just that ppl who just come for whoring and getting drunk tend to have zero respect for the place and zero interest (although often you can past that if you try). And sooner than later that reflects on all visitors and it reflects on the whole group. Most Brits who live here are a whole different ballgame and are embarrased to hell but any place should resist getting overrun by these types, it they got some serious impact on the quality of live.

'Sadly' there is not 24/7 drinking and stoned ppl don't make a fuss :D

I don't deny there is a cause and effect it just accentuates that it is better to avoid creating an enviorment that draws ppl with certain interest if you want to live somewhere.

In respons to Yabs argument not to promote a good place since it polutes and leads to visitors and settlers it seems better to try to influence why ppl want to come (diving, beach, nature, pleasent city with facilities etc.).

I retired here in the Philippines 8 years ago, I have no business and not money driven and I am glad that ex-pats do start businesses here as their business tend to be much better than the local citizens ones. Normal these ex-pats invest their life savings to start nice restraunts and bars. People like me spend most of our pensions here.

Ex-pats bring in billions of Peso's into this country I alone bring in 1 million plus each year every centavo helps the local economy. We provide jobs and help local business survive.

Of course tourism brings in its problems in Asia, the sex tourist being the worst offenders. Those dirty old men with their strings of young girls or gays or young boys that sit at the local clubs and bars getting drunk each day. Of course you have something to be annoyed about.

When a guy comes here marries a Filipina and raises a family trying to live a moral life, he has every right to start a legally based business so that he can stay with his family and enjoy family life.

I myself came here to retire early at 54 and my income being a military pension and a war pension. I wanted to paint sea and landscapes and write it was more important than seeking a partner for sex or to earn money. I have succeeded in fullfilling my dreams.

It would seem your dreams have not been fulfilled and you could be somewhat jealous of those that have successful businesses earning more than you can achieve.

My advice is be happy with little you have got and value those you love around you. Live and let live
