We set off to see the geo-thermal power plant in Valencia. This was a great 30 minute ride from Dumaguete City and I can't wait to go back again during the week. the area is filled with TONS of running water and HOT springs. Parts even had HOT water/Steam bubbling right out of the ground roadside. :-) Here's a bit of the ride

Yes, that's steam coming out of the rocks...it got very warm

So we got all the way to the top and found out that the plant is closed to visitors on saturdays and we would need to come back on Monday to get a "gate pass" in order to actually see it. Well, it was a great ride and I will be going back to see it. There's also HOT SPRINGS that I want to have a soak in. So, next time I'll take towels, swimsuit and some drinks.

    Cheers,
    Mark

On the way back, decided to try something new for food. I had seen Santa Theresa many times and decided it was time to try it....

Really nice ambiance in a garden setting with a waterfall. Princess ordered up rice and Afritada while I ordered up Fish sticks, Beef in Mushroom Sauce and Baked Macaroni. We each made the mistake of ordering "mineral water" as we usually just have service water everywhere. (it's exact same stuff!) The total sum for our feed was 255Pesos!

My greedy neighbor ordered up a feast and spent over 300P for what you see here

I dunno why...but I like this next pic (unrelated to the food) but thought I would share it

Hi Mark, very nice photos.. I remember some of the places when we went to Pulang Bato falls.. I forgot the name of the place but it was a steep hill and my pajero is already having a problem climbing..

I'm very interested with the hot spring but not sure where it is.. and the food looks yummy! where is that too?

Just wanted to see the pics of OMW in his posting of Oct.12.
The text I can read but no pictures are there .....only open places and no pictures coming out of the screen there.
I know it's Monday and I DID have some drinks yesterday.....but my eyes are still OK. Maybe NOT my computer ??
I checked again.....nothing there....only empty spaces between the text.
I do miss some nice pics I am sure. OMW gets already a lot of credit as Photographer.
I will try again tomorrow. Somebody can explain this ?
