that is no problem, as each big company has local partners in each country they are operating.
Many resorts are 40% foreign owned but the capital and profit is 99% in their hand... and they don't work exclusively for overseas.

one of the points is that a foreigner (not tourist) can run business here without having a Philippino corporation.

by the way my 12 month temp working permit is less than 20k. That's 100% legal and you can even get it as a tourist.. There are many ways you can choose from.

A working permit does not mean you can run a business. Simply try to get a business permit and your find out.

You can of course have your spouse run the business and you could then work for her or him with the work permit.

The way to run and own a business such as your suggesting can be found at 42 the third comment on this article. Employ 10 Filipino's this was the governments answer to the problem we are talking about.

sorry mate, you have not the slightest idea what and how i do things and who I am working with, so please don't try to tell me what and how to do things. Reading a few articles online is not really enough to know things...

...also no need to employ anybody... Just wonder who signed my papers and give me the official seal...

If that is true I am one of the first who also pays "illegal taxes". So I better burn my books, get the taxes back from the BIR and sue all who signed the permits...

Sorry no offence was actually offered and I agree I don't have a clue on how you do things. But I have not read most what I have stated online I in fact read most on the immigration notice board in Cebu and of course asking my friendly Immigration contact of whom will do anything for money. Manila and here in Dumaguete. I am a nosy bugger and read everything I see.

In fact your find it very hard to find data on the government site, but I gather there is some on expat.com or somewhere similar. However there is now tons of information on line here on Dumaguete Information and its all mostly in gear to enlighten those that need enlightening. I would like to thank those that have in fact brought much light into debate.

What one can do and get away with well almost everything in the Philippines.
