    Interesting facts......

The total number of Italians living in America is over 15,638,348 as of 2000

At the start of 2009, the total resident population of Italy was 60,045,068

    Interesting in what way ?
Will the Italians take over the USA soon :rolleyes: or did the mafia already do that :D ?
Sorry, off topic/ too politically sensitive.
btw...America is for us not 'USA' but the whole North and South of it (America).
Sorry..we learned that in OUR European geographical maps.
I always wondered why people from the USA always use the word AMERICA for their country.

    Thanks for the link Knowdafish.
It exactly does state what I always had expected that it was originated in Italy.
I hope jerrygreen25 has also read the article in your link

Hilarious thread..I've only been to Italy twice but I have never understood why tourists fawn over the crap pizzas there...thin lame crusts with minimal sauce and a few tomato and cheezy plus meaty bits.....sit in a counter for god knows how long...don't forget a magic drizzle of olive oil before serving...and idiots will pay $15-20 for it...They are better here in Oz, much better in the US, and even the Philippines offers better pizza than I've had in Rome.
