Survey: 9 out of 10 Pinoys support birth control - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos

I thought a portion of the younger generation would be thinking this way but never thought it would be so widespread. I find this encouraging as the current 2% population growth is too high under current conditions.

    From the article:

Nine out of 10 Filipinos want publicly funded birth control despite strong opposition from the influential Roman Catholic Church.

89 percent wanted the government to pay for family planning measures including medication, intra-uterine devices, condoms, ligation and vasectomies.

92 percent described family planning as important, with 5 percent undecided and only 2 percent saying it was unimportant.

76 percent said political candidates should address family planning concerns, with 75 percent pledging to support those willing to fund such measures.

    Yabs...

    Hey Yabs,
If you limit births to 2, phil will have a MAJOR problem 15 to 20 years from now, because there will be not enough working age population to support the large elderly population. Exactly the situation that is facing japan and other advanced nations around the world. This problem is not so simple as what you suggest.
And i see that you again refer to the koreans being the biggest problem for phil. Would you care to elaborate?
(Did you have a fight with koreans or something? smells a lot like personal grudge, Yabs...)
