    Hey. No Problem Here!

Suzette, I think maybe you have got the wrong Impression. We here on DI, are mostly Foreigners with Younger Wives, have children who, we feel, can do with the best education we can find for them. We, well, argue to a point, about schools and tuition. Nothing to do with the Education Department. What I meant was, that as a Teacher, you may have some inside answers to a lot of our Questions. As for the maybe, curious line I threw you, maybe, you will read the thread on , HELP Needed, I think you will see, where I was coming from. Maybe PatO or Grandpainak can explain a little more, There is a part of DI, that is Helping underprivileged Children in Elementary schools, There is a Committee who will explain, I am just a member and it would be wrong for me to go any further. I just think you may be able to help them in their Quest. You are doing Fine, I for one, Totally understand what you have said so far.

Info on Santa Catalina would be appreciated. For instance, what's their expat population like? What amenities are available?
There is one foreigner living in Santa Catalina, and has been there a long time. I am the other one when I visit my wife's family. There is a beach, a small town, lots of rivers coming down from the mountains. About a two hour bus ride to Dumaguete. Five min. to Bayawan but not much of a step up. Negros Oriental State University Bayawan campus is close the Santa/Bayawan border. Absolutely no place to eat in Santa except for some eateries selling already cooked food in pots you can choose from. I would certainly choose Dauin or Siaton and go no further away.

yeah thats alright. there are people who are comfortable in their own special way even if they find it so hard ....they are satisfied,,,thats freedom of choice. But for today if we really need survival we go for places that are accessible and time bounded to get what we want ,most likely with food.... so hard if we travel then there's no food along the highway.....it can gives us stress.
