I like photography and found the cave to be an interesting subject.

Look closely at the fourth photo, the dark hole surrounded by plants. The lower left corner of the hole has a bird shaped blur. The cave swallows were too fast for my cheap camera.

Maybe I'm a little jaded...seen plenty of caves...and that would be the worst I've seen for a tourism spot. Thanks for posting the nice pictures though Homer. Got a cave (at Yanchep) thirty minutes from the house that is much more impressive - more down south - so maybe I'm spoiled. Last time I went to the Panglao cave was two years ago. Besides being rather ordinary - it was obvious that several people had been using it as a toilet. Hopefully they've cleaned it up....

Well, there is my problem. I come from a part of the world that has very few caves and I can't remember the last time I was in one. Yes, the place is a dump by western standards, by Philippine standards it's just another trashed place.

To elaborate on my earlier post: If you're passing by and are a photographer or have never been in a cave it's worth a stop.

No worries Homer....when we went to the cave two years ago we brought a relative with us from Australia. She was really thrilled with Tagbilaran and enjoyed the relaxed friendly atmosphere of it (as we do) ...loved the Chocolate Hills, the river, the church, compact monument..etc....and last on the list...the cave. Was a total flop....I don't know why they bother even thinking it's worth seeing...just an opportunity to gouge a few more tourists I suppose. Pity....the rest of the island is so fantastic...Love it....Bohol...the rest of it is definitely worth seeing..
