    Archon,

Good luck ! if you want to come in canada do your homework and see what awaits you here. Like myself, i never thought that i could come here in canada. I thought, gee.. i will die in a cold weather.Destiny.
In alberta, they needed skilled workers.Try to google that province and see whats is there for you to start with. I will give you a big hug and maybe with permission of my boyfriend a kiss!:D ah...friendly kiss.Dont get it wrong.

Archon, I'll try to get the information for u as it may be useful to others.

HOWEVER....My point is this...Its very expensive here in the US right now and the jobs are low paying unless you have a degree especially here in florida. In hotels most are housekeeping, public space (cleaning bathrooms, offices and such.) The ones making the big money is the agencies or they would'nt be in business. PLEASE!!! Do the research first!!! The grass is always greener on the other side.

    Archon,

This is what I found out.... The agency that everyone here used is called Northwest. I'm being told it is across the street from the American Embasy in Manila. They will ask for some sort of certificate, such as you have to be trained in Housekeeping and show the cerificate.

Im being told a lot of agencies are out of business for faking the certificates.

This agency also works with cruise lines, hotels and other occupations and countries.

I also found out that my hotel sent a representative to Manila for recruiting. Starting next month we have 25 workers arriving from the philippines.

    I hope this helps.

Marraige is a legal union.People marry for different reasons but the most common of it in our cultural awareness is two people marry for love. Some marry for security mainly or companionship ,or marry someone within their family circle for preservation of wealth , out of family pressure and arrange marraiges and so on.Marraige also fails due to different reasons ,most of it comes from too much failed expectations that result to sheer frustrations and disappointent that ends up with too many conflicting interests, and disturbing realities. Marraige fails because people who marry don't understand the full context of it and what truly it involves .It's not all bed roses and sure it's a life sentence as you mentioned .Marraige is full of compromises ,unless both are ready to give in much of himself or herself ( lifestyle ,habits , other interests even career ) then should not plunge into it. It's not a one sided affair. It's like gambling too, can win and loose.

I didn't marry ,thinking i have to divorce this man the next few yrs on . Or thinking about divorce before i get married and the downsides when it happens because it happened to others it doesn't mean we would be the next. Marraige isn't bed of roses, both couple need to do compromises to make marraige works ,it's tightening the belt, accepting the negative sides and all his imperfections . One shouldn't marry the person to change him or her to conform to ones liking .It doesn't work that way . One has to give in a lot of things ,things that you may enjoy ,like freedom to do things your own. People have failed marraiges because it's the end of the tunnel for them or they just don't try to make the union work. It's marry in haste then repent at leisure ,so bad ,somehow expensive when it involves big sums and properties. We see so many failed marriges in celeb world and so costly ,but that's celeb marraiges in planet celeb ,they lead a diff lifestyle than most of us ordinary people .We don't take notice and revolve around looking at other people's mistakes that it brings down our sanity and sensibilities .We married for love and committment that's how we knew it ,and that makes us both work for it .

Enough of my rantings ,regarding my sister ,she gave up and got married at age of 32 ,family pressure and bit of nagging I'm sure ,and haunted by my vision of her turning into a mesirable old maid ,bless her.
