⌛ I need a favor

Don't forget to add South Chicago, and Gary Indiana, to your list of dangerous US cities.

I've been in Manila for a couple of years, and feel secure for the most part, as I know where it's normally safe for a foreigner to go.
I also know that if I were to walk across the river into Tondo (taxi's won't even venture there at night) I wouldn't be walking out.


The only problem in the Philippines is, even a quiet little town like Dumaguete, can evolve into a high crime area. Criminals in the Philippines are drawn to high concentrations of ex-pats.

For the record, I just visited Dumaguete, and felt totally safe there...

But, it pays to stay alert to possible dangers.
