i think I have the same symptoms as is common in town every day with many people i encounter...i'm not sure if they are having fever symptoms later at home like I do,I have friends stay over from out of town and they get it ,my helper gets it, but i just never had to deal daily with this for 4 months and no end in sight...I clean my fans and hepa filter fan every time i get sick enough, and i wash my bed sheets after every bout of fever and sweat,I spray lysol when leaving home and use bleach in laundry.......Baguio was suggested by friend living there who moved from valencia and I guess there are out of town vicinities there to live......i would hate to spend 10 thousand pesos shipping cargo and flight only to find no relief there or out of town near baguio? I've picked up some lung damage from volcano smoke in Hawaii and doctor check ups left me no solution other than test show I'm fine...i suspect the rock magma fibres like fibre glass from volcano stay in the lungs and make infections easy way to infiltrate so I have worse time? maybe?? I'm not dying yet but thanks for concern, but I am sick of being sick and noticed that the best relief i found was when i spent days in high mountain..After coming back to dumaguete still on the bus not even home yet I got sick again and still not ok...

Tunji, do not rent the 18k in Zamboanguita. Many brownouts. Electric bills very high there and many days no water. Dauin may be a better choice. Good luck

Hey, quit making us bring out our medical inexperience and please go see a doctor. We can keep throwing ideas at you, but ultimately, you'll either get better or be dead. Seems to me, seeing a doctor may be a good alternative to the big dirt nap. Just sayin.

so my move is going to be up north negros out side of bacolod stay with friends as guest while i explore the mountain area to rent in particular Don Salvador Benedicto town...Its a high country town with pine tree growth like baguio but rural and clean and its a hour down to san carlos on the east coast and just over an hour down to bacolod on the west...not too far from mall in sancarlos and bacolod if i need more choices...Veggie heaven up there cheap...good farming...:D when i went to see the doctor there were rows of people waiting with my same symptoms just as there is at home in my neighbourhood so I'm not alone but maybe not used to it.. they all say take biogesic and other such stuff but if i stayed on that for over 4 months i would worry long term liver damage...

Seems that this is an ongoing problem for you, so maybe you should consider that your inability to acclimatise might mean that you are in the wrong country !!!

Tunji, Good choice LOL....cost of living will be low...Very very quiet town though. You might want to take up astronomy. Nice views on a clear night....Anyway, I'm sure you'll find it interesting and probably like it....

    Diet!

:wink:Tunji! This may not, be as Stupid as it sounds, When I first came to spend long Spells in Southern Spain, I had some of what you are experiencing. I went to the Doctor, She told me that my Mediterranean Diet was not agreeing with me. Apparently, our diet feeds the immune System, as well as the rest of the body. Well, I am certainly not, a medical man, I listened, I ditched the Oily diet as this was the main problem she felt. I changed back to my English diet, Fried, Grilled and Baked. Roasted meats and plain salad and all. It certainly helped. Although I do enjoy the majority of Filipino Food, I do have a lot of stuff that I know and grew up on. I seem to suffer less of anything, that the family get ill with. In fact, I don't really suffer, (Just the hangovers once in a while:D)
Just a thought my friend.

I do hope, you can get over this
