I was told about a year ago because of a LTO crackdown on certain registrations, it would be hard to even register one of those assembled trucks or jeeps you used to see running around.

Best thing would be to ask over at LTO

I used to live in Arizona, U.S., and the laws there are a bit more laid back. I've seen go-karts, registered for on road use. They are not regular kids small go-karts, but they are a bit lower to the ground than regular vehicles. Anyway, that was what I was asking about, was if people could legally use those type of go-karts. They have all the lights, and shock absorbers, etc. They are pretty inexpensive, although if you got in an accident in one of them, you might not walk away from it.

Golf carts are street legal in a lot of municipalities in the U.S.

    Roads!

 Not sure I would want to venture out in a Kart on the roads in Dgte. Running a risk of grounding in a low slung vehicle is not my Idea of fun. Tom_A has it right, you may not walk away from It. Posted before I know but how about this for a Model :D

That should make a nice hood ornament for a Ceres Bus or a Sugarcane truck. :D

I know someone in Valencia that brought in several atv quads and a dune buggy style. Some were street legal. He sold the buggy a long time ago and I think he is selling the atv's now. I took one he sold up near the Geothermal power plant last week and had a lot of fun.

I'm not really sure how to load photos up, and might even have messed up the link, but if it does work, this is the type of street legal go-kart i was talking about earlier. I still think it would probably be unsafe with the flow of traffic in Dumaguete, or most other places in the Philippines, but it is a pretty cool looking vehicle. China sells similar types for only 3 to 5 thousand U.S. dollars (not that dollars are worth much anymore).
