I also love SMB but if you wanna try once in a while another beer, here is a small selection of imported ones (not chemical-rice-beer) available in Dumaguete

    Bottles:
    König Pilsner
    Kulmbacher
    Pivo Pravda (Wheatbeer)
    Warsteiner
    Bitburger
    Franziskaner (Wheat Bear)
    Heineken
    Diebels
    Becks
    Erdinger (dark Wheat beer)
    Öttinger

    Cans:
    Paulaner (Wheat Beer)
    Codys
    Öttinger Export
    Öttinger (Wheat Beer)
    EKU Pilsen
    Erdinger (Wheat Beer)
    Stella Artois

    enough for a nice evening...

Thanks for the beer listing, Rhoody. It makes me wish that I still consumed the stuff. Do you happen to have a cross reference of who sells / stocks what?

Has the JP4 content of Bitburger decreased now that the USAF fighter base of the same name, which sat astride the brewery's water supply, has closed?

Erdinger. Wow! A small Bavarian brewery, where as part of a Canadian military delegation, I helped host a German bi-lateral social event many years ago. Impressed with our choice of locale, many of our German guests were completely taken in when we told them that we had purchased the brewery just to host the evening!

Stella Artois? Is that really beer? A nation which produces some of the world's best should mourn this product's continued existence.

They are all available at Casablanca... I just did not want to mention the ugly Austrians place again... hehe

I know that he orders also for some guys 2 different imported alc-free beer and takes bulk orders if somebody needs more...

The Stella Artrois is mentiond to get the overall level a bit lower and closer to some of those beers mentioned before... hehe

There are actually may places in germany where th beer for the foreigned armed forces (for inside the base) is a special-brew.

We had 12.000 Us soldiers in my hometown of 70.000 population and 11 berweries with 3 ore more kinds. The breweries with the supply-contracts had a "special" beer. That was always fun when when the guys came downtown, drunk the same brand and were hammered after 2 beer.
It should be mentioned that the volume of 1 beer in my home-area is a bit different to here...
