    Hi guys.
Im in Zamboanguita, brownouts are about twice as often as in Dumaguete.
I want to get a UPC that I can boost the capacity of with some deepcycle batteries.
Anyone know of how to put such a thing together?
Im presuming this setup should be cheaper then a generator and less noisy.

dpt123, if you don't get help on this from the forum, perhaps someone at Polaris or Matiao could help you with a solution. I live in Bacong and get frequent brownouts too but would need a big expensive generator so we live with the pain. Good luck.

CDR King has a UPS that you provide the battery for, go check em out.
Also, their standard UPS unit can be retrofitted with a real battery to make it work.

What do you want to run after a power failure? How many watts total?

You could think about an Inverter, no auto cutover when the power goes out, but 600 to 900 watt models are not hard to get.
