Have you tried using Airbnb? You can usually find an entire house for rent for around 2,000 per night depending on the location and size. I rented a 4 bedroom house just outside the duma city limits (towards Bacong) for 5 nights back in March and it cost me around 12,000. Might be worth a look. Sam
I've stayed there as well, don't care much for the windowless and very dark rooms. Very depressing imo. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I would suggest you make your best choice on the internet... for one or two nights... see how you like... hit the pavement and look around... talk to people in town to see if what they enjoy. If you like what you pick... then ask is you can extend your stay at a good price... or move on... . Making a decision on a place to stay is not exactly like getting married... you can leave, and will have the same suitcase full of clothes you walked in with... now that does not happen often after a marriage living relationship ends, so enjoy the flexibility you have in picking a place. This is not a lifetime decision... so relax and enjoy. If you have transportation, look at some of the resorts out central Dumaguete, and most of you recreational and food consumption needs can be met right at the resort. That could make you stay a lot more relaxing. (Bambula Resort , BAMBULO | Restaurant, Pizza, Bar, Pool, Minigolf, Accommodaition, Hotel, Bacong, Dumaguete, Negros OR, Philippines , is nice in Bacong with beautiful pool and a small miniture golf coarse but it is closed for guests until October 1 due to renovation due to annual renovation. Mike Beach Resort in Dauin, Mike's Dauin Beach Resort | فيسبوك , is right on the beach, and has nice grounds and restuarant. Mike prefers divers, but if you want he can certify you for diving for more adventure if you like that... both would probably need reservations. Both the resorts are kept at what I would say is international standards for facilitates and food. )

Will arrive in Dumaguete late this month and y wife and I will stay at C&L until the end of the month. We will be looking for something more permanent but may need to extend in a temporary location. If someone knows of a nice place for longer term stay that will be available in early October please let me know and we will set up for an early view once we get to Dumaguete. Gary
