Hmmmm, had no problem walking into the shops when we lived in Manila and walking out with contacts in 5 minutes (just had to tell them the strength and they pulled them off the shelf).....and, when I was in the shop at Robinsons Mall (getting contact lens solution) the other day, they had a display up front with colored contact lenses in different prescription strengths, ready to purchase, surely they have regular ones available, too. I think they ARE a stock item in most optical shops, but I am not so sure about here in Dumaguete. I know in the states, too, most of the optical and ophthalmologist offices had a huge inventory of contact lenses, the only ones they had to special order were difficult prescriptions (like mine). Thanks, I imagine her contacts will be arriving any day now.....
